My name is Mehmet Yavuz Simsek. I took my name from my grandfather and also his profession: a barber. My journey began at 9 years old in a local barber shop, by the time I was 11 I was cutting and shaving local people. I continued my barber path in Turkey until the age of 18 in Adana- my home town. At 18 I adventured out to the touristic place of Marmaris and went on to open my own barber shop. I met my future wife Tracy in Marmaris 2005 and we traveled to England to have our first child Alara in 2007 to our home town, as we call it Essex. We opened our first Essex boys barber shop in Chelmsford Essex 2008 and went on to have our 2nd daughter Ela in 2009. We went on to open another shop in Chelmsford Essex boys barber shop 2 and have built up such a beautiful community based shop. We’re not just a barber shop but we are there for all the community.
